Luxor Las Vegas - stay in the Tower
I have stayed at the Luxor twice. Both time have been great. There is just one suggestion to stay in the Tower instead of the Pyramid. The elevators in the Pyramid are called inclinator (go up diagonally instead of up and down) and although I don't get sick on roller coasters this made me feel queasy. I dreaded every time I had to go to the room. The tower rooms are just as nice and you can avoid any aversion to the "special" elevators. Was this review helpful?

LUXOR is ok, but not luxurious
I didn't have an awful time, but it wasn't quite what I was expecting. We stayed in a room in the pyramid our first night and the ceiling was incredibly low - felt like the walls were closing in on us...we asked to change rooms, the staff accommodated us. So, the second night we stayed in a tower room - much easier to relax, but still not nearly as nice as most of the other hotels on the strip. However, it was on the cheaper side and who really spends that much time in their room when in Vegas? Most importantly, the bed was comfy... past that, we was out partying and gambling. The casino was just ok, but I usually prefer to gamble in the MGM. We didn't get a chance to check out the pool, but it looked pretty. Was this review helpful?

The Luxor Hotel was Amazing
The Luxor hotel was amazing... Everything about it was themed, from the giant statues leading up to the hotel to the sphinx that was the monorail. There were plenty of cafe's and restaurants to choose from including McDonalds (for those that are on a tight budget or have kids that can't go without McDonalds), the Pyramid Cafe, The Cathouse, The Backstage Deli, Starbucks and more. I was thrilled to see Starbucks. I can't seem to get my day started without my mocha fix!Our room was lovely and had a wonderful view of the strip. It was very comfortable with hieroglyphics on all of the furniture and bedding. The employees were all pleasant and friendly. All around a super place to stay while visiting Las Vegas. Was this review helpful?

Re: Luxor Hotel and Casino
Wedding Night:We got married in Vegas on February 6th and what a beautiful room to spend our wedding night in. We stayed in a spa suite in the pyramid!! Everything was just purrrrfect! Getting to the room was a bit tricky but to be perfectly honest, once we got to our room, we never left again until check-out.This hotel is in a great location, situated right between Excalibur and Mandalay Bay. We have a spa room reserved for our return trip in two months. CAN'T WAIT!!!Was this review helpful?

Re: Luxor Hotel and Casino
We stayed at the Luxor for 5 nights in January and overall, I'd say our stay at this hotel was just a little better than OK. The room was clean but dimly lit. The shower stall had a little mildew in the corners. The bed was comfortable. The window valance had water marks. Food in the buffet was good. $35 will get you food all day. Plenty of cabs to get you where you like. Costs about $22 to take a cab to Freemont Street. Local bus, the Duece costs $7 for 24 hours but is very slow and some times very crowded. The airport is very close to this hotel The concierge offers a 6 hour bus tour of Hoover Dam, Ethel M's candy factory and a cactus garden. Actually an excellent tour. Was this review helpful?
