The MGM City Center Las Vegas is currently under construction on the Las Vegas Strip and is set to open in January of 2009. It will reside between the 15 freeway and the Strip, connecting the Monte Carlo Resort and Casino and the Bellagio. What was once the Boardwalk Hotel and Casino will now be CityCenter Las Vegas! This themed las Vegas resort will include multiple structures and when it is completed it will feature over 2,600 condo units and 4,800 hotel rooms.

The center piece of the MGM's City Center is the Aria Resort and Casino. The Aria Resort hopes to redefine what luxury and elegance means in Las Vegas. This 61 Story building will have a commanding presence on the Las Vegas skyline. Every room will feature state of the art touches. The rooms are filled with natural light from the floor to ceiling windows. The Aria Resort at Las Vegas City Center will feature live entertainment, Nightlife and a range of dining options.

The CityCenter Las Vegas will showcase within it, two boutique hotels, the Residences at Mandarin Oriental (currently on sale) and the Harmon Hotel and Spa. These hotels at the MGM CityCenter epitomize luxury and convenience. The service will be like none Las Vegas has seen. They will feature their own private pool and lounges as well as exclusive dining opportunities for residence and guests of the Mandarin Oriental and the Harmon Hotel.

The City Center Las Vegas is going through LEED certification, following guidelines set forth by the U.S. Green Building Council. It will be one of the greenest and most sustainable hotels in Las Vegas. The CityCenter will feature reclaimed water and other water conservation methods. The overall use of natural light is not only beautiful, but conserves power. In fact, much of the power used for the MGM's CityCenter will be produced on site. The City Center Las Vegas truly is a contemporary hotel and residence community for Las Vegas.
