Really awesome stage
The only thing I really liked about the show was some of the staging. The rotating stage is amazing, but I wasn't a fan of the story line. It didn't really make sense to me and I wasn't a big fan. When explained afterwards what the story was about, it made a lot more sense. I think cirque went over the top with the stage and created something worth watching, but not really worth experiencing. The problem with cirque is overstimulation, and this show is a perfect example. There was very little speaking in this show, and while the music was great, it didn't have a lot of meaning. I didn't really understand what I was watching without the back story and although it was cool, I can't really recommend it. I think they did an amzing job with the stage and with some serious reworking of the plot and the explanation of the tale, it could really be a fantastic show.Was this review helpful?

KA is awesome!
The way the theater is set up you feel as if Cirque is creating a new world for you to become a part of. The ambience is very cool. From the minute the show starts, you know it's going to be an incrediable ride. I won't give away any of the suprises, but I will tell you that you're going to be hit with a completely new dimension of performance. The closer you are to the stage, the better the show. I was so impressed by the boat prop, and how the illusion that was created really made me feel as if I was in another realm. The gamat of emotions felt during this preformance is overwhelming...beauty, peacefulness, happiness, then BAM! DRAMA!Indeed, I didn't expect for Cirque to present such a brilliant and moving story, but they delivered in spades. I didn't want the show to end. I wanted to follow the characters on for hours. Perhaps, someday a movie will be made out of this show. The costumes were genius. It really is awesome how Cirque always find a new way to suprise and impress you.Was this review helpful?

KA is definitely a must see in the Cirque Family. The storyline is not too difficult to follow though for younger kids it might be. This would not keep them from thoroughly enjoying the show though. The set design is awesome. The stage seems like it's a performer, doing it's own tricks. It is massive in size and just about every seat in the audience is good.We enjoyed it so much and have it on our list of things to do AGAIN-Was this review helpful?

KA by Cirque du Soleil Show Review
This was not the first choice of shows for us to see but the tickets for our family of 5, were in our price range. We were amazingly impressed with the story line and the performance as a whole. MGM's theater is incredible. Not only is the stage itself a wonder but towers, which you have to see, are built beyond the stage and almost surround the audience. PLUS, there are speakers in each seat so that you get the whole effect of the show no matter where you sit.We all agreed that this was an amazing live show that we will remember for years to come.Was this review helpful?

i have never seen something like this in my lifetime...their bodies can contort into the most bizarre positions. i enjoyed the acting or would it be considered movement. the story kinda escaped me but the whole feeling in the room was nice. the mgm has done an extensive job at creating a great place for the this show. it was a bonus to not have to walk very far to see this. we were staying at the mgm and the show takes place at the hotel. good music. perfect bodies. very entertaining.Was this review helpful?
