Rivera Stay
We stayed at the Rivera for 5 nights in May and overall, I'd say our stay at this hotel was just a little better than OK. The room was clean but dimly lit. The shower stall had a little mildew in the corners. The bed was comfortable. The window valance had water marks. Food in the buffet was good. $35 will get you food all day. Plenty of cabs to get you where you like. Costs about $22 to take a cab to Freemont Street. Local bus, the Duece costs $7 for 24 hours but is very slow and some times very crowded. The airport is very close to this hotel The concierge offers a 6 hour bus tour of Hoover Dam, Ethel M's candy factory and a cactus garden. Actually an excellent tour. Was this review helpful?

The Riviera Hotel & Casino
After reading several reviews of The Riviera Hotel & Casino, my husband and I were a bit nervous. We have been to Vegas 5 or 6 times and stayed at several different hotels. We arrived at 10am and when we tried to check in we were told that check-in was at 4 but they would be able to accommodate us with a room at noon. This worked out well because we were both starving so we grabbed a bite to eat and a cocktail and before we knew it, our room was ready. We were given a non-smoking room that was recently remodeled. It was quiet and comfortable and worked out well for the little time that we spent in it.The casino at The Riviera is pretty small compared to the other hotels that we have been to. (We are slot players and were surprised at how little they had) It turned out good because we both were on a winning streak and for the first time, we brought home more money than what we went with. I do recommend this hotel for a budget traveler that isn't too concerned with all the glam and glitz of Vegas. Was this review helpful?

Riviera Hotel boys Trip
Stayed at the Riviera in Feb as part of a guys trip with a bunch of my old college buddies. The rooms were clean, but pretty beat. We basically just slept for a few hours each night, so weren't expecting much. The pool was not crowded and just average, but the towel service was free. The casino had $5 minimums on most games. The waitresses were on their game, quick drinks. The dealers were very professional.I am grading this hotel for what it was...a low budget hotel, for that it gets 3.5 stars...not a dump, but clearly not the Wynn. Was this review helpful?
