The Sahara Hotel
How many hotels can you stay at for 3 nights and have it cost less than $100? It is the greatest place to sleep in Vegas for that "old Vegas" feeling with the price like it was in old Vegas. When I come to Vegas to gamble, drink and sleep as little as possible. Cheap food, cheap gambling, cheap (but strong) drinks, cheap fun! The rooms are just fine. There are even rooms with balconies...probably the only place on the strip with balconies these days. The rooms are average, but just fine for sleeping. The nascar influence in this hotel is a nice addition but not the primary reason for me to be at the Sahara. If someone is looking for a higher quality experience then move on up the strip! This place is just fine for a Vegas weekend! Was this review helpful?

Sahara Las Vegas Show Review
Our family has stayed at the Sahara 3 times over the past 3 years. Our most recent stay was 7 nights. The Sahara is an older hotel and casino but we enjoy the classic atmosphere. Some rooms have been updated, but the one we stayed in was still stuck in the 70's. Our room was old but clean- the staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool is large and surrounded by palm trees. As far as the casino goes...it's classic Vegas, Baby! Our 10 year old daughter had a great time. Vegas isn't just for gambling and partying anymore. The Sahara is the northern most stop for the monorail which is the best mode of transport to get to the other casinos, shops, hotels on the strip. The monorail travels from the Sahara to the MGM Grand with about 6 stops along the way. We stayed in the Alexandria Tower. If you stay in this tower, ask for a room with a balcony on the west side. It will overlook the pool and part way down the strip. Was this review helpful?

Re: Sahara Las Vegas
Here for a 3 day convention. Was in the Tangier (newer) Tower. Nice and clean and everything worked, no frills, but what do you expect for the ridiculously low price they charge?!* The room did not have a coffee pot so I would bring one with me next trip otherwise you end up ordering room service coffee that cost me an arm and a leg. This is a very well run property and you can't beat the monorail access to the convention center and the rest of the strip. Forget renting a car...you don't need one staying here at the Sahara. The hotel staff here were hard workers and always willing to accommodate and special requests that I needed- directions, reservations etc.Was this review helpful?
