At Pearl, Chef Kai-Wa Yu has created a menu that is always changing to better take advantage of seasonal offerings. He uses four traditional Chinese cooking methods: steaming, braising, baking and frying.
All menu offerings are influenced by the food of the Canton and Shanghai provinces. The standout, signature dishes of the restaurant include spider prawn dumplings, crispy garlic chicken and fire-roasted Mongolian beef. Can't choose one thing? Try the Chef's tasting menu, which features a little bit of everything, including a selection of French pastries.
Try the Claypot dishes for something truly authentic; the lamb shanks and bean curd skins and beef brisket and turnips are cooked perfectly. Although the Pearl is costlier than most restaurants, the ambiance, service, and perfectly executed dishes make it well worth the price.

The Pearl Restaurant Las Vegas
The Pearl is a real Chinese restaurant. This is not Chinese-American. This type of restaurant you can not find in your local neighborhood. There are many dishes on the menu that you will not have seen before. All the food is excellent. The service is straightforward and efficient. The decor is minimal. One can learn about Chinese cuisine here. If you are in a hurry the Pearl works. This is not a special occasion restaurant. You will not be disappointed, give it a try. I wish this restaurant was down the street from my house. I would go there tonight. Prices are fair.Was this review helpful?

Re: The Pearl
Food here is exquisitely seasoned and they use good quality, fresh ingredients. We tend to like it very spicy but too much spice can kill the real flavor. We ordered two entrees and an appetizer. The food seemed a bit small at first but in reality, it was the perfect portion size for the three of us. Always nice to see a full restaurant with many different ethnicities. Always a good sign.Casual and comfortable restaurant.Was this review helpful?
