Las Vegas Motor Speedway
The Las Vegas Speedway is one of the most advanced tracks in the U.S. This1,200 acre complex features some of the world's top drivers. The Busch Series and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series are featured at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway yearly. In 2006 the track was reconfigured to have "progressive banking" to help drivers further up the track increase angling. The idea was to promote side by side style racing making it a more interesting event to watch.
The Las Vegas Motor Speedway is actually is a complex featureing four different tracks. TheD shaped oval super speedway has a tarmac surface. One lap arround the track is a mile and a half and is banked 20 degrees at the turns. The Bullring Oval is paved and much shorter at a half mile around for the circut length. The dirt track is made of clay and is also a half mile around. Last but not least is the tarmac drag strip, which locals actually race on a few nights a week as well. There is always a race about to begin at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway
