Mandalay Bay Shark Reef

Visit the Mandalay Bay Shark Reef Aquarium and get an up close and personal view of the aquatic life in the 1.6 million gallon tank at the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino. The Shark Reef Aquarium is the third largest of its kind in North America and only one of its scale in Las Vegas.

Visitors to the Shark Reef Aquarium get to see all sorts of marine life. The aquarium is home to a variety of sharks: Sand Tiger sharks, Zebra sharks, Nurse sharks, and Blacktip Reef sharks. The Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay has more than just sharks, though. With 14 different exhibits, visitors also can see Green Sea Turtles, Stingrays, Crocodiles, a wide variety of fish, a Komodo Dragon, and much more. There are also educational tours for groups of up to 30 people. Additonally, the Shark Reef at the Mandalay Bay is ADA-compliant and wheelchair-accessible, making it an attraction that everyone can enjoy.

Unlike many of attractions in Las Vegas, visitors are encouraged to enjoy the aquarium at their own pace. Generally speaking, plan for at least an hour. Lucky guests can, at the right time, see the animals as they are fed. There is no set feeding schedule, but the feeding usually take place between 10 am and 4 pm.
