For years the mystery of Egypt has captured the imagination of young and old alike. The Luxor now offers a chance to take a closer look at one of the most intriguing aspects of ancient Egypt, the famous King Tut.
Guests get the chance to visit an exact replica of the tomb that was discovered in 1922. Visitors will be able to wander through the stone chambers of the king's eternal resting place. To give people a history lesson, a short video is played on two big screen TV's. Following the video, visitors get the chance to take a quick 15 minute self guided tour through places such as the treasury, burial chamber, antechamber and annex.
During the tour guests get the chance to come up close and personal with items such as oil lamps, figurines, wooden boats and of course a sarcophagus that is plated with gold. To keep with the Egyptian belief of the afterlife, guests will get the chance to view items that were used to help the spirits move on to the afterlife.
What makes King Tut's tomb even more remarkable is the fact the majority of tombs have been looted by grave diggers. Tut's tomb remained virtually untouched as it remained hidden for so long.
Of course, guests can be a tomb raider of sorts as they get the chance to take home a few "artifacts" of their own. Souvenirs range from T-shirts to teddy bears.
For those that want to try and unravel the mystery of ancient Egypt, then try checking out the King Tut exhibit at the Luxor.
