Can't make it to New Orleans for Mardi Gras? Have no fear because it's always Carnivale at the Rio.
The lavish masquerade show takes to the air to entertain guests and takes them on a journey filled with exotic costumes and energetic dancers. Of course this isn't your run of the mill show. Each of the floats are patterned after Italian villages complete with restaurants, shops and even a wine cellar. The parade begins with Rio Rita leading the way alongside mimes and acrobats.
Perhaps there is no better way to take in the festivities than by joining in. For $10 patrons can get dressed up and hop aboard a float and dance the night away. After starting out at Masquerade Village's main stage, riders are taken backstage and given Mardi Gras beads and hats as well as a souvenir medallion. From there riders are loaded onto the float and whisked out onto the main floor area.
Between dancing with some of the beautiful entertainers and enjoying a couple of drinks, the 30 minute ride which takes you from the Carnival World Buffet all the way to the Village Seafood Buffet is over in the blink of an eye.
For those that are looking to catch a glimpse at one of Vegas' most impressive free attractions or those that have always wanted to be a part of the show, the Masquerade Village is the place to be.
