What is a beautiful, lush waterfall during the day transforms into a fiery, lava spewing volcano at the Mirage.

Every day hundreds if not thousands of visitors and locals alike take time out of their night to watch this Las Vegas phenomenon happen. The only place you can watch this happen is at the Mirage. While many people like to take in the tropical landscape of the waterfall during the day, many more flock to the Mirage as they begin to hear the gurgling sounds of lava and fire start to come to the surface. With a tremendous explosion, the once dormant mountain becomes an active volcano spitting fire high into the air and causing guests to shield their faces from the intense heat.

As the fire begins to slowly creep across the lagoon, visitors begin to scramble for cameras to catch this once in a lifetime experience; the closest they will come to this again is if they are unlucky enough to be on an island when a volcano decides to erupt.

The best place to get an eyeful of the spectacle is right in front of the volcano itself, however you will need to arrive a few minutes ahead of time as the volcano has been known to draw quite a crowd all week long just in hopes of getting to see a volcano erupt in the middle of the Vegas.
