Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat in Las Vegas
Published On: Jan 05, 2007
The Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Las Vegas. Here you can enjoy the adventure of an exotic and enchanting world that is being presented to you with tropical environment that reproduces the natural habitats.
The Dolphin Habitat's volume is of 2.5 million gallon and an entire family of Atlantic bottlenose dolphins is living here. This place is a great place to learn more about marine mammals, but it's main purpose is to preserve a healthy environment for dolphins.
The habitat consists of four connected pools that are designed with sandy bottom so that they are as similar as possible with the dolphin's natural habitats. The pools are also attached with a coral reef system that makes the place more real.
The Dolphin Habitat organizes a lot of educational programs for children of all ages, that is why you may see here university groups as well as well as kindergarten students. There are also guided tours available for those who want to know more about the dolphins.
The Dolphin Habitat is a great place to visit because it gives you the possibility to watch these mammals in a naturalistic environment, where you can distinguish their natural behavior. The research specialists here are doing their best to create the best conditions for these dolphins, whose majority were born here.
Here you can also enjoy the once in a life time opportunity to be a dolphin trainer for a day. You will be aloud to play with the dolphins for a few hours and you will also get to feed the little players. This is an occasion that you will never forget especially because you will be taken professional pictures.
The Secret Garden is also a great place where you can have a lot of fun admiring all the lions, tigers and leopards that live here. This garden is also known as Siegfried and & Roy's garden, the people who dedicated their lives in order to create and preserve this unique garden.
Here you can definitely admire some of the happiest animals in the world as the Secret Garden offers them lush foliage that is a perfect replica of their natural habitat and expensive medical care. The place is also an entertaining place for the visitors as it is surrounded by jungle-themed music.
This place came into existence at the beginning of the ‘80s when Siegfried and Roy have begun a program together with the Zoological Society of Cincinnati. The place started with 2 striped white tigers and one snow white tiger. The Secret Garden is today the home of almost 40 different tigers.
The Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat is located on the Mirage Hotel grounds and it is now available also for private activities. The place can be a perfect host of a lot of events, such as receptions, dinners, conferences and so on. This beautiful, majestic place can easily accommodate about 650 guests.
