NOBU in Las Vegas
Published On: Jan 05, 2007

Las Vegas, the brightest city in the world, the city that literally never sleeps, also known as the Sin City, it is worldwide renown for its casinos and restaurants.

Nobu is one of the hottest restaurants in Las Vegas located at 4455 Paradise Rd in the Hard Rock Hotel. The restaurant has 150 seats featuring a black river rock wall, birch trees, bamboo pillars and many other things to create a perfect oriental vibe. The restaurant is a replica of the one in New York.

Nobuyuky Matsushisa's restaurant offers some of the best Asian food and probably the best sushi in the country. Once inside the restaurant you'll quickly forget all about the surrounding Hard Rock resort with its genuine American settings.

Chef Nobu offers a large variety of oriental food including yellowtail sashimi with jalapeno, lobster salad, shiitake mushrooms, squid pasta that has a rather Peruvian influence and of course the all famous sushi but the speciality of the house is the black cod with sweet mirin sake sauce.

If all this these menus sound a little alien to you, here is what they actually contain: the yellowtail combines marines tuna and raw peppers, the lobster salad mixes chunks of shellfish with crisp greens, the shiitake mushrooms are mushrooms with lemon dressing and the squid pasta are served with a incredibly good garlic sauce. The black cod is served with editable flower, grilled daikon and butter lettuce cups.

The restaurant is opened every day from 6 pm to 11pm; the cost of a meal is average not exceedingly high, you can pay using a credit card or with the Dinners Club tickets.

There is a parking lot outside the restaurant so you do not have to worry about leaving your car on the street or far from the restaurant.

The cuisine is exclusively Japanese, once at the restaurant you should know that there is no smoking allowed inside also the dress code is from casual to elegant. In addition, Nobu restaurant offers a large variety of amenities starting with the bar scene, date spot, business, group, romantic, special occasion, hotel dining, valet parking, private rooms and many other.

Right near the entrance is the sushi bar that has 16 seats. Similar to the rest of the restaurant the décor is absolutely magnificent with ash tabletops and black rocks to hold the chopsticks at every table it simply screams Far East.

Getting a table in this fine restaurant is not easy especially if there is an event at the Hard Rock Hotel, therefore making reservation may be the best solution if you want to avoid the dinner crowd and waiting at a line.

The desert as well as the other courses is absolutely divine, thus you can chose from chocolate cake (it has no flour) with white chocolate sauce and green tea ice-cream, banana streusel with muscovado sugar poached bananas, nutmeg ice cream, cocoa tuitle and many other superb treats.

The Nobu restaurant has it all: a great, modern and original design, good services, and the food so good you can not describe it.
