Sahara Hotel
2535 Las Vegas Blvd, South
Las Vegas, NV 89109
Ever since its first appearance on the Las Vegas Strip 50 years ago the Sahara Hotel has been combing world class entertainment with family friendly prices. The end result has been a hotel that managed to become a Las Vegas icon.
With guests such as the Rat Pack and cameos in movies such as the original version of Ocean's 11, the Sahara has not only cemented its place in Vegas history but movie history as well.
For those that are looking for some good old fashioned entertainment as the hotel that Liberace once played in is now home to acts such as Cornell Gunter's Coasters, Beary Hobb's Drifters and The Platters. Each of the acts as well as the Amazing Johnathan perform in the Congo Room.
You can't come to Vegas and not expect to feed your face, with restaurants including the Sahara Buffet, the NASCAR Café and House of Lords, the hotel has got something for everybody. Of course for those that are just looking for a quick drink before heading back out the Sahara features lounges such as The Thirsty Camel, Casbar Lounge and Abacadabera.
There is truly something for everybody as the Speedway puts you behind the wheel of an Indy race car and drivers speed around a virtual race track. For those that are a little bit more of a thrill seeker, Speed-The Ride is a roller coaster that will speed you to the very top of the hotel's tower before send you whooshing through a 72 foot loop.
With so much to see and do, its easy to see why the Sahara Hotel has become a fixture on the Strip and will continue to be so for many years to come.
