Still searching for that magic that packs a little bit of an edgy kick? Then you might want to pay a visit to Amazing Johnathan.
While most performers like to do their act in auditoriums that may as wells serve as a football stadium, Johnathan prefers his setting to be a little more intimate. The closeness allows Johnathan to interact with his crowd, give them a better view of his magic and also make them easier prey for his own twisted sick sense of humor. What elese would you expect from a man dubbed the "Freddy Krugger of Comedy." Although some may call his act politically incorrect or leaning towards the cruel side, it doesn't stop audiences from flocking to performances to witness the one man magic act firsthand. Have a topic that you are a little sensitive about ? Expect Johnathan to put a little salt in the wound and then grind it in.
While most magicians get joy from watching their audiences wonder how they pulled off the trick, Johnathan gets his pleasure in watching the faces of audience members seem bewildered as they see him fumble with a torn up $20 before just tapping it back together and handing it back to its owner. While other illusionists leave their audiences in silent awe, Johnathan leaves his audiences in rolling in the aisles, clutching their stomachs in laughter as they witness him trying to put his assistant Psychic Tanya, back together again. If she was so psychic should have been able to see that scissors would soon be getting stuck in her head and she would have gotten the hell out of Dodge.
Johnathan is not father's your old time, classic magician - hell, he will tell you he's not even that great of a magician. He's more of a one man comic army that keeps coming at you like a tidal wave. Those that want to see doves appear from thin air may want to go see Lance Burton, those wanting a sidesplitting laugh, go see the Amazing Johnathan. Just be forewarned that the show is definitely not for the faint of heart or easily offended.
