It is a common belief in show business that entertainers shouldn't share the stage with kids and animals, Gregory Popovich doesn't exactly subscribe to that belief as he has made animals the stars of his show.
From the very start it is obvious that this show is like no other as a dog slowly strolls up to the microphone to introduce Popovich. The fun and amazement doesn't stop there as the show features both animal and human acts. Popovich dazzles the audience with his juggling talents while his daughter gets into the act by entertaining the crowd by hula hoping, twirling batons and dancing.
While Popovich and his daughter prove to be talented, the animals steal the show. Show vignettes include a scene where mice, cats and dogs all interact while waiting to board a train. Another scene depicts a cat pushing a dog in a stroller while a golden retriever takes a Yorkie for a walk. One of the most popular scenes is a school skit where dogs are all seated at desks. One dog tries to figure out his math problem by barking out answers while another dog is forced to clean the chalkboard with his paws.
Its just not dogs that get all the glory, ordinary house cats are able to get into the act by taking over the stage and showing off just how nimble and quick they can be. Cats will amaze audiences by balancing on towering beams, jumping over hurdles and scurring up tall posts. One smart cat even manages to hitch a ride on the back end of a dog.
For those that can't get enough of animals acts and are amazed at the tricks that you can teach ordinary house animals, Greg Popovich's Comedy Pet Theatre is the place you want to be.
