In a town like Vegas it's easy to only pay attention to the musical acts that are headlining on the Strip, but The Rock is one place you can go where you can show your support for some of the best local bands around.

Located across from UNLV, The Rock has been a hot spots for students to come and gather while they blow off a little steam. It is also one of the places that many local bands come when they are first starting out and fine tuning their sound.

While The Rock specializes in live entertainment, it also features DJ's. Mondays, Tuesday and Sundays is a favorite for those that are looking to rock out from songs ranging from hip-hop all the way to the 80's. Wednesday nights are reserved as Guy's Night while Thursdays is a beer bash where you can get any sized cup filled for just two bucks.

No matter the night you are going to be treated to a night that won't drain your wallet. Five bucks gets you in the door and from there it's up to you to decide if you want to hang out at the bar and play some slots while you snack on some of those tasty bar snacks or maybe enter yourself into the frozen T-shirt contest.
